A Major Milestone for The New St. Paul’s Hospital

Posted On: Friday February 12, 2021

PCL Construction has been selected to build the new St. Paul’s Hospital at 1002 Station Street in Vancouver.

We wanted you to be among the first to know Providence Health Care has selected PCL Construction as the design-builder for the new St. Paul’s Hospital.

PCL Construction built the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre, Humber River Hospital and the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. You can read more about their experience with the health care sector here.

Fiona Dalton, President and CEO of Providence Health Care –
“We’re extremely pleased to begin the next phase of the new St. Paul’s Hospital. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build an innovative new hospital and health campus from the ground up to better serve BC for the next 125 years. The new St. Paul’s Hospital will lead in the delivery of B.C.’s patient-centred model for health care by providing the highest-quality, integrated, compassionate care, where and when it’s needed most.”

Preparing the site for construction is expected to begin this spring, after the contract is finalized. Prior to construction beginning, we will invite you to a virtual “open house” to meet our team, give you an update on the construction timelines, road impacts as well as architectural drawings of what the new hospital will look like.  We will send out an invitation in the upcoming weeks, and hope to see you there.

We, and PCL Construction, intend to be a good neighbour to you during the construction period. And we look forward to being a part of this community for the next 125 years.

Please feel free to reach out to us at any time.
