Construction Notice – Street Work (Mar 16, 2022)

Posted On: Thursday March 17, 2022

March 16, 2022

Dear Neighbours,

The City of Vancouver has granted approval of street work on behalf of the St Paul’s Hospital and Health Campus Project. PCL Construction as the General Contractor will be managing and overseeing this project, with Darrin Joss (PCL) as the Site General Superintendent.

Starting March 21st, a work zone will be established at Station St and Terminal Ave where two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane will be closed. Due to the high volume of traffic on Terminal Ave, this is anticipated to cause commuting delays. PCL will provide another update on this work in approximately 10 weeks.

We apologize for the inconvenience. PCL takes considerable effort while organizing construction activities to ensure the neighbourhood endures the least amount of impact.

Performing this work will have the following benefits to the public:

  • Upgrades to the sanitary and storm sewers will provide more reliable service connections to the adjoining properties
  • The increased capacity of the sewers will ensure that the hospital and the upstream connections will have stormwater and sanitary demands met
  • The utilities are designed to resist the effects of naturally occurring hazards

Should you have any questions or concerns, use the Project Hotline at (604) 335-2669 to leave a message and PCL will return your message within 24 hours.
